In this lesson, kids explore the value of ‘inclusivity’. They begin by watching the Bluey episode and talking about what they noticed in the episode. They then play their own version of the octopus game where they have to work collaboratively to build consensus around the rules of the game, ensuring that everyone who is playing the game gets to have a say in what happens in the game.
I like this lesson because it utilises the idea of incorporating jaguars, monkeys, Tasmanian devils, possums, monsters, little kids, birds, cats and even Bluey, Bingo and Bandit into the mix.
